My name is Amelia and as an artist I create mess as I make art work, which can be seen as waste of resources and time. I found this to link in with protecting the environment; this is what I have been primarily working on. By reducing mess and waste that I or often enough other people produce, I have been able to create unique series of sculptural arts works by using Epoxy resin,a liquid turned solid and a heavy duty multi-purpose adhesive in a variety of colours. The result is clear and purposely chosen to allow you to see what been permanently encased.Artists and sculptors create some mess as they work, which wastes materials.To protect the environment sculptors and artists can recycle waste products produced by themselves or others to create art works. Epoxy resin is a liquid that turns solid with the addition of a catalyst and the resulting sculpture stays water clear allowing you to see what is embedded. A great variety of shapes and designs can be produced showing the every day waste that should be recycled.
